Regular and open communications are fundamental in building trust with our parents. Parents will be encouraged where possible to participate and be involved in their child’s learning journeys with us. Together, teachers and parents provide for effective channels of communication between home and school to allow for information to be shared and make provisions and plans for each child as the need arises. Other instances of parental involvement also include volunteering in the classroom, chaperoning on excusions as well as participating in centre celebrations. Parents are also encouraged to share their time and talents in class and this in turn enriches the preschool experience for all our children. Such involvement gives us opportunities to share best practices which can be adopted at home thus aligning home and centre practices for the child.
